Laoag International Airport (LAO) is the primary gateway to Ilocos Norte and the northernmost international airport in the Philippines.

A major modernization project is nearing full completion, with expanded terminal areas opened in June 2025 to improve passenger comfort.

• Facilities: Includes a baggage carousel, immigration desks for international processing, and solar-powered runway lighting.
• Services: Travelers can find convenience stalls, souvenir shops, a massage area (approx. ₱100 for 15 mins), and a water refill station in the departure hall.
• Accessibility: Equipped with wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, and restrooms.
• Capacity: The domestic departure area can currently accommodate 450–556 passengers.
