Bagabag Airport is an airport serving the general area of Bagabag in the province of Nueva Vizcaya, primarily handling small propeller-driven aircraft serving local transportation needs.
Also known as Carmen Bagabag Airport or Carmen Airstrip, it is primarily designated for rotary-wing aircraft and historically served as a secondary airfield for the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Bagabag Airport is located in Barangay Villa Coloma, approximately 2.7 km (1.6 miles) from Bagabag town center. It takes about 5 minutes to reach the airport under normal traffic conditions.
The airport is classified as a community or feeder airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), a body of the DOTr responsible for the regulation and oversight of civil aviation in the country.
The airport has a single composite/concrete runway oriented at 09/27, with a length of 1,200 meters (3,937 feet), and an elevation of 250 meters (820 ft) above sea level, primarily used for general aviation and charter aircraft.
The airport is equipped only for daytime operations.
Bagabag Airport was built during World War II and converted into a civilian airport post-independence.
Currently, the airport operates mostly general aviation and military flights, as well as limited charter flights for tourism purposes.
