Evelio Javier Airport, also known as Antique Airport and San Jose Airport, is the only airport serving the area of San Jose, the provincial capital Antique.
The airport is classified as a secondary or a minor commercial domestic airport by the Air Transportation Office, a body of the Department of Transportation and Communications that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports.
The airport is named after Evelio Javier, a former governor of Antique who was brutally assassinated in the early 1980s. |
