Iloilo International Airport is the main airport serving Iloilo City and the Western Visayas region, located in Cabatuan, Iloilo.
Also known as Cabatuan Airport, it is the primary gateway to Iloilo City and the surrounding provinces, including Guimaras.
It is the fifth-busiest airport in the Philippines and the first in Western Visayas built to international standards, officially classified as an international airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
The airport opened on June 14, 2007, replacing the old Mandurriao Airport in Iloilo City.
The airport is situated approximately 24–30 kilometers northwest of Iloilo City proper, in Barangay Duyan-Duyan, Cabatuan, with parts of the access road in Santa Barbara.
It occupies a 188-hectare site and is accessible via the Tomas Confesor Highway. |
