The Bohol–Panglao International Airport (TAG) serves as the main gateway to Bohol Island, offering modern facilities, eco-friendly design, and connections to major domestic cities and limited seasonal international destinations.
Known as the “Green Gateway to the World”, the airport is undergoing a series of multi-billion peso upgrades managed by Aboitiz InfraCapital, which officially took over operations in June 2025.
Bohol–Panglao International Airport is located in Barangay Tawala, Panglao Island, in the province of Bohol.
It replaced the old Tagbilaran Airport and officially opened on November 28, 2018.
The airport is approximately 15 km from Tagbilaran City and just 3 km from Alona Beach, making it highly convenient for tourists visiting Bohol’s beaches, Chocolate Hills, and other attractions.
- Operational Capacity: Currently designed for 2 million passengers annually, with ongoing expansion to reach 2.5 million by 2027 and 3.9 million by 2030.
