Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is the main international gateway to the Philippines.
Also known as Manila International Airport (MNL), it is managed by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and operated by the New NAIA Infrastructure Corp (NNIC), a private consortium led by the San Miguel Corporation..
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sits on the border of two major cities in Metro Manila: Pasay City and Parañaque City, located some 7 kilometres south of Manila proper.
It takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the airport from downtown Manila under normal traffic conditions.
As of April 2026, several airlines have recently moved terminals to optimize capacity.
| Terminal | Primary Use and Notable Airlines |
| Terminal 1 | Full-Service International: International flights for AirAsia Philippines and AirAsia Berhad recently moved here. It is also the future exclusive hub for Philippine Airlines (PAL) international flights. |
| Terminal 2 | Domestic Hub: Dedicated primarily to domestic flights for Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. |
| Terminal 3 | International and Low-Cost: Large hub for international carriers. Recent additions (Mar/Apr 2026) include Japan Airlines, Air China, China Eastern, and Vietnam Airlines. |
| Terminal 4 | Domestic Boutique: Primarily used by smaller domestic carriers like Cebgo and AirSwift. A brand-new Terminal 4 is scheduled to open in mid-2026. |
NAIA has two intersecting runways:
- Primary (06/24): 3,410 metres.
- Secondary (13/31): 1,998 metres.
NAIA’s amenities have seen significant upgrades since the recent modernization project. Terminal 3 remains the most feature-rich, but all terminals now offer essential services like free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and a variety of dining options. |
