Miniloc Island Resort ~ Intro

Miniloc is a charming, picturesque island in El Nido, Palawan, renowned for its secluded lagoons and pristine beaches, dramatic limestone cliffs, vibrant coral reefs, and a serene luxury resort experience at the El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island.

Miniloc is a dream island getaway, yet honestly, it was way beyond what my frugal heart was willing to spend for travel. And were it not for my brother Rolando, who was then employed as a managing consultant at AirSwift, this glorious island escapade would have just remained a fantasy.

Miniloc Island Resort, El Nido
A resort with a quintessential blend of rustic charm and refined comforts.

But thanks to the perks provided by AirSwift to its consultants, I was fortunate enough to have experienced this tropical paradise with all-inclusive packages that covered airfare, accommodation, sumptuous meals, and guided tours at no cost, along with two of my daughters and one of their friends.

Airfare, accommodation, meals, and guided tours, all complimentary, thanks to AirSwift and to my brother.

Yes, you heard that right, all complimentary. And here is a quick backgrounder on how this came to be.

AirSwift was, until 2024, one of the many businesses owned by the Ayala Group, and operated as a boutique airline serving Ayala-managed El Nido Resorts. The Ayala Group of Companies maintains a high level of synergy across its business units, which often results in shared fringe benefits.

So part of my brother’s annual perks as a managing consultant at AirSwift then was an all-inclusive package for five (four guests plus himself) at any of the Ayala Land resorts.

And for this year, he generously extended an invitation for me and my family to enjoy a genuinely unique and authentic island experience in Miniloc.

My brother Roland and me.

In the forthcoming posts, we shall explore and reflect on this remarkable journey in depth.
