The sky remained gloomy and a slight drizzle continued to greet us as we set foot on the island.
While this was not the weather we had hoped for, still we felt truly grateful just for being here, and to experience everything that lies ahead during our stay.

| 10.18am. Finally on shore. |
The first step, usually, is to confirm our room reservations with the front desk. As much as we were all eager to jump into our rooms as our hairs were still damp, we gathered in the dining area to sort through our paperwork first.
 |
| 10.24am. Check-in prep. |
As per our prior arrangements with the resort, we were to stay in two similar beachside rooms. My brother and I would be sharing one, while my two daughters and their friend will be sharing the other.
And this cabin would be our home for the next several days.
We also had with us a document which lists the complimentary activities that guests can avail of. But since it was already midday, we chose to schedule our guided tours for later, after we had lunch.
While my brother and daughter were occupied with the front desk, I began to wander around to observe the surroundings. Already in the main dining area (called the clubhouse restaurant), I first checked the buffet setup that the staff were prepping up for lunch.
Just outside the dining area stood the beach bar, which also features a billiard table.

Adjacent to the beach bar is an array of rustic sheds with cozy lounge chairs.
 |
| This space is perfect for simply bonding with nature and indulging in quiet reflection. |
Towards the right edge of the resort stands towering verdant cliffs lined with cottages on stilts.
Also here can be found the kayak and paddleboard station, available anytime for guests to use for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is even a compact basketball court for those interested in the sport.
 |
| I believe this was intended for the resort staff’s recreation as well. |
