Liloy is one of twenty-five (25) municipalities (along with two cities) that comprise the province of Zamboanga del Norte in the Zamboanga Peninsula. The town is politically subdivided into thirty-seven (37) barangays, and is a part of the 3rd Congressional District of Zamboanga del Norte.
