Maribojoc is one of forty-seven (47) municipalities (along with one city) comprising the province of Bohol in the Central Visayas. The town is politically subdivided into twenty-two (22) barangays, and is a part of the 1st Congressional District of Bohol.
Maribojoc is a scenic coastal town that has a culturally-rich heritage and a vibrant past. It hosts a centuries-old church, museum, the historical Punta Cruz watch tower, and an old Spanish cotta stone stairs that bring nostalgia.
Maribojoc is a cradle of bountiful resources. It has a sprawling bay rich with bio-diverse marine life, jagged and ragged panoramic mountain ranges, rolling plains, water resources, and high grade limestone. Forest products are also abundant of raw materials for native handicrafts.
Maribojoc’s distance from Tagbilaran City, the provincial capital, is fourteen (14) kilometers and travel time from the capital is about twenty-five (25) minutes.
