Talisay is a coastal city known for its rich history, cultural heritage, a growing economy, and its most famous landmark “The Ruins”.

Talisay is one of thirteen (13) cities (along with nineteen (19) municipalities) comprising the province of Negros Occidental in the Western Visayas. The city is politically subdivided into (27) barangays, and is a part of the 3rd Congressional District of Negros Occidental.
