Iloilo is one of six provinces comprising the Western Visayas ( Region VI ).
The province is subdivided into forty-two (42) municipalities and two cities, with a total of 1,901 barangays represented as five congressional districts. The seat of the provincial government is at the capital city of Iloilo.
Strategically located in the center of the Philippine archipelago, Iloilo stands as the gateway to the flourishing region that is Western Visayas.
