Shooting the Rapids: An Epic Adventure to Pagsanjan Falls

Pagsanjan Falls, also known as Cavinti Falls or Magdapio Falls, is a famous waterfall in Laguna province.

Towering at about 91 meters high, the falls cascade down in three distinct drops, The surrounding landscape and the powerful cascade of water make it a popular tourist destination.

The falls is accessible by “Shooting the Rapids”, a unique boat ride originating from Pagsanjan town, requiring skillful navigating through rapids and shallows up the Bumbungan River.

The boat ride involves navigating upstream against the current, often requiring effort from the boatmen. Thus, it is customary to tip the boatmen for their services.

Alternatively, the site can be reached by a shorter hike from Cavinti town, allowing access from the top of the falls.

At the falls, a raft can take visitors behind the falls into what locals call the Devil’s Cave.

Be prepared to get wet, especially during the raft ride into Devil’s Cave.
