The Mind Museum: An Interactive Science Adventure

The Mind Museum is a captivating science museum that enchants audiences of all ages with the wonders of science and technology, providing an engaging experience through its interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, and live science demonstrations.

Located in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, The Mind Museum is dedicated to bringing science to life through over 250 highly interactive, hands-on exhibits. Its galleries cover a broad spectrum of scientific topics, making it an educational and enjoyable outing for families, students, and adults alike.

Inaugurated on March 16, 2012, The Mind Museum is recognized as the Philippines’ first world-class science museum, aimed at fostering a passion for science. The museum is also noted for its distinctive architecture and design.

Key Galleries and Exhibits

The Mind Museum features five main galleries that delve into various scientific disciplines, interconnected by “Nature’s Webways”:

  • Universe Gallery: Embark on a journey through the cosmos and learn about the fundamental elements and forces at play, including an awe-inspiring planetarium show that simulates stargazing. Investigate planets, stars, and the enigmas of outer space, enhanced by interactive displays that make learning enjoyable.
  • Earth Gallery: Uncover the forces that have shaped our planet and its evolutionary history, with fascinating displays that highlight biodiversity and ancient creatures, featuring a 3D animated film on Earth’s natural history and the museum’s permanent, life-sized Stan the T-Rex replica.
  • Life Gallery: Explore the exuberant diversity of life on Earth, addressing topics from zoology to genetics, and showcasing everything from microbes to a large model of a whale shark (butanding), emphasizing the rich biodiversity of the Philippines.
  • Atom Gallery: Immerse yourself in the fascinating realm of the microscopic, learning about the fundamental building blocks of matter through engaging exhibits that make quantum physics and fundamental forces tangible and interactive.
  • Technology Gallery: Situated on the second floor, this gallery features five distinct nodes that highlight human ingenuity and how technology has shaped how we live, work, and travel. Understand the evolution of human technology across the ages, celebrating the innovations that have influenced our existence.

Beyond the main building, the Science-in-the-Park outdoor playground provides additional enjoyment with attractions such as life-sized soap bubbles and a Möbius slide, ideal for interactive learning in an open-air setting.

In addition, there is a café on-site where guests can order from a selection of drinks such as lattes, mochas, and other espresso-based beverages. Note, though, that the museum’s rules prohibit eating and drinking in the exhibit areas.
