The Pintô Art Museum and Arboretum is an art venue unlike any other, celebrated for its distinct Mediterranean-inspired architecture that is home to seven galleries set amidst a vibrant botanical garden—a stunning haven where art and nature harmoniously converge.
Founded in 2010 by neurologist and art patron Dr. Joven Cuanang, the museum was established as a public venue to showcase his extensive collection of contemporary and indigenous Filipino art. This collection features an array of paintings, sculptures, and installations by established and emerging Filipino artists.
The exhibition spaces are thoughtfully integrated within the sprawling Silangan Gardens, a two-hectare botanical garden showcasing a variety of indigenous flora, offering a unique experience that has made it a popular destination for art aficionados and nature enthusiasts alike. The museum has recently added ‘Arboretum’ to its name to emphasize its dedication to ecology and the restorative qualities of nature.
Designed by artist Antonio Leaño, the museum’s white-walled mission-style buildings exhibit an eclectic, open-air design that promotes natural ventilation, allowing art to be displayed seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
Beyond its permanent and rotating exhibitions, Pintô Art Museum offers educational programs and initiatives that support the work of contemporary Filipino artists.
The complex also features an in-house cafe where visitors can relax and unwind after a lengthy but leisurely stroll around the sprawling complex.
This exceptional fusion of art, architecture, and ecology has established Pintô Art Museum as an essential destination to explore.
