Clark Freeport Zone: Clark Safari and Adventure Park

Zoocobia Fun Zoo, also known as Zoocobia Drone and Bird Park, is a 20-hectare wildlife and adventure theme park offering a wide range of interactive animal encounters and outdoor activities.

Situated in the scenic northern foothills of the Clark Freeport Zone, the park is designed primarily for families and animal lovers looking to spend a day surrounded by nature, combining traditional zoo exhibits with outdoor adventure activities.

Standard admission ticket is ₱495 per adult or child, while toddlers measuring 3 feet and below enter free. This covers entry to the walkthrough animal zones.

Paying upon arrival may be the simplest option, but you may want to consider pre-booking via online platforms that offer discounted rates, especially if you are traveling as a group.

       

Senior citizens and PWDs with valid IDs are eligible for a 20% discount, but are only applicable to regular walk-in rates purchased at the gate.

Additional experiences such as animal feeding and adventure rides are priced separately.

Zoocobia is open daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm, including holidays. Visiting on a weekday usually means fewer crowds, unless you happen to encounter a school field trip.

Avoid weekend afternoons, which bring longer wait times at the aviary feeding entry and ride queues.

As always, it is best to arrive early, to avoid the midday heat especially during summer. Intense heat can significantly slow your walking pace, particularly on the uphill sections.

While most of the walking route provides some form of shade, other parts traverse open trails, so some type of headgear can be helpful for shielding yourself from the sun.

A good-sized tumbler with plenty of drinking water will ensure you stay hydrated.

If traveling with kids, a small towel, some extra shirts, and a portable fan can ensure the little ones stay comfortable.

Wear sturdy, comfortable footwear as the route features stone-paved pathways which can be sloping or uneven, something to keep in mind if bringing a stroller or a wheelchair.

Zoocobia Fun Zoo is located at Calumpang Road in the Sacobia valley section of Clark Freeport Zone, some 100km away or about an hour and 45 minutes drive from where I stay in Mandaluyong City, in the central hub of Metro Manila.

Because it is tucked inside the Sacobia valley, the final approach road branches off the main highway and turns into a rough, unpaved terrain. Avoid using ultra-low clearance vehicles if you are driving.

On-site parking is available outside the park’s main entrance. Space is generally sufficient for cars and family vans, but it fills up quickly on busy weekends.

The parking zone is an unpaved, gravel dirt lot that can become dusty on dry days or muddy during heavy rainfall.

Zoocobia features a simple layout that progresses sequentially from the entrance through specialized animal zones, interactive feeding stations, and active ride areas.

Exploring the park fully takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Add another hour or so if you plan to queue up and partake in the add-on activities.

The exhibits are mostly arranged in succession, allowing visitors to easily explore all the attractions and enjoy the activities in a logical order.

This is where guests check-in and be briefed about the park activities that can be availed of.

On this visit, we opted for the animal feeding add-on. For just an extra ₱100, we get to feed the birds and selected animals along the path and in the barn.

Prior to entering the main loop, the first animals we encountered were a bunch of large, colorful macaws housed in a tall enclosure.

The birds were squawking quite loudly, so our little one had her ears covered.

Next, we passed an open-air bird sanctuary featuring several species of exotic cockatoos perched along an outdoor walkway.

The birds are displayed in a cage-free layout along a stone-paved pedestrian path.
