Vigan Day 2: Bantay

The Saint Augustine Parish Church, colloquially known as Bantay Church, is a historic Spanish colonial-era church established in 1590 by Augustinian friars, and is one of the oldest surviving churches in the entire Ilocos Region.

The church is famous for housing a miraculous Marian image and sitting next to an iconic hilltop watchtower.
