Datu Saudi-Ampatuan is a landlocked municipality named in honor of a former mayor, and notable for its rich history.

Datu Saudi-Ampatuan is one of twenty-four (24) municipalities that comprise the province of Maguindanao del Sur in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region ( BARMM ). The town is politically subdivided into eight (8) barangays, and is a part of the province’s Lone Congressional District.
