Baler is a scenic coastal town in the province of Aurora, widely celebrated as the birthplace of surfing in the country.

Baler is one of eight municipalities that comprise the province of Aurora in Central Luzon. The town is politically subdivided into 13 barangays (villages), and is a part of the Lone Congressional District of Aurora.

Baler, which serves as the provincial capital, maintains a laidback charm offering a rich blend of historical landmarks, rugged Pacific coastlines, and thrilling adventure activities, complemented by a variety of small resorts, guesthouses, and local dining options.

  • Doña Aurora Aragon-Quezon House: The ancestral residence of Aurora Quezon, showcasing traditional Filipino architecture and historical artifacts.
  • Ermita Hill: A historical site that reflects the 1735 Tromba Marina tidal wave, providing stunning panoramic views of Baler Bay.
  • Millennium Tree (Balete Park): A colossal, 600-year-old Balete tree that visitors can climb and explore from within for a small fee. Located in Maria Aurora, it is the largest of its kind in Asia.
  • Baler Hanging Bridge: Narrow suspension bridge over Tibag-Sabang River, ideal for capturing panoramic photographs.
