Tandubas is one of eleven (11) municipalities comprising the province of Tawi-Tawi in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region ( BARMM ). The town is politically subdivided into twenty (20) barangays, and is a part of the Lone Congressional District of Tawi-Tawi.
Tandubas is endowed with a lot of marine resources which provide income to this population. As an alternative source of livelihood, seaweed farming is being encouraged. It is therefore one of the major sources of agat-agar. Mat weaving is another product of Tandubas.
Tandubas is populated by a predominantly Sama population, whose primary livelihood is fishing and farming.
