Bicol International Airport (DRP) is the primary airport serving the Bicol Region. It is located on a 200-hectare plateau in Daraga, Albay, approximately 15 kilometers from Legazpi City.
It is known as the “Most Scenic Gateway” due to its views of the Mayon Volcano.
- Current Status: The airport is fully operational. As of early January 2026, authorities monitored operations closely due to Mayon Volcano’s Alert Level 3 status, which caused some flight cancellations in mid-January due to ash fall.
- Flight Schedule: There are approximately 119 flights per week as of February 2026, primarily connecting to Manila and Cebu.
- International Flights: While classified as an international airport, it currently primarily handles domestic routes. International operations (targeted for destinations like South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand) have been projected to begin by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
- Terminal: A 13,680-square-meter two-level building designed for 2 million passengers annually.
- Amenities: Includes self-service check-in kiosks, an airport lounge, souvenir shops, medical facilities, and a dedicated kiddie traveler lounge.
- Parking: Features dedicated areas for both short-term and overnight parking.
